'63 Senior Superlatives

Mr. & Miss Narimasu

Superiority is the word: Superiority in scholastic and extra-curricular endeavors, superior motivations and achievements, a superior sense of
responsibility and service to class and school. Superiority is the word that best describes the quality which characterizes the work of these two
versatile students, Susan Merrill and Thomas Taylor, who have been chosen Mr. and Miss Narimasu of 1963!

Most Likely to Succeed

Success is a difficult word to define and an even more difficult state to attain. Yet it is with imagination and drive and hours, days, years of work that success is finally won. Having already outstandingly displayed such qualities, Mary Ann Crabb and David Yurth have been selected as the two seniors most likely to succeed.

Most Scholastic

Though scholastic achievement is one of the standards by which success in high school is measured, it indicates far more than this.  Scholarship is the product of purpose, patience and perserverance. The Class of 1963 has therefore chosen as the two most scholastic seniors, Satomi Arrington and Steven Hunt, in the knowledge that this honor has been well-earned and in the assurance that they will continue to merit it.

Most Athletic

Janis Martin and Rick Brown are both rather quiet people -- until they get out onto a basketball court or a football field! They have both been  indispensable: Jan to the girls' athletic section, and Rick to that team which made and kept Narimasu a champion. They have been "superalitive" in sports and well deserve to be named the two most athletic seniors.

Most School-Spirited

Proudly, our two most school-spirited seniors display their Narimasu "N's" against the background of a full trophy cabinet. Both John Buey, a student at Narimasu since his freshman year, and cheerleader Carolyn Baba are noted for their service, loyalty and love of school which is commonly known as school spirit.

Best Dressed

To have been noted best dressed is the indication of several things: pride in one's appearance and grooming, good taste and an alertness to shifting fashion. Susan Regnier and John Stranberg have undoubtedly displayed these qualities. Their readiness to adapt should prove invaluable to them in this fast- changing world.

Friendliest

What better way is there to make that crush in the halls almost bearable or those Mondays a little less blue than to forget it all for a while and smile? This is the motto of Vicki Stewart and Bob Buck who have been chosen the two most friendly seniors. It is people such as they who give the world a boost when it is down and whose openheartedness guides them through the fullest and most cheerful of lives.

Jesters

"Let the crows pass by," say Pam Wilkins and Don McKay, "We're heads and shoulders above them!" And so they are, for they have been named class jesters and have helped by every witty comment or expression to make this last year in high school all the more memorable for themselves and their fellow seniors.
