To make separate Folders in Outlook Express. (if anyone need this for Netscape let me know and I'll make one). First...Print this out. It will be easier to follow than trying to do it on the computer since you will have a number of screens coming up. 1. At the top of OE Click on File, then go down to Folders. Another menu pops out, select NEW. 2. Click on Inbox to highlight it. 3. At the top you see Folder Name. Put in Narimasu-hs then click OK. 4. Now go back to 1 thru 3 again and have the Folder name as nhs-chat If you click on INBOX at the top you'll see a menu open and under Inbox are two sub folders, the two we just made. Now to get the messages to go in them and not into your Inbox. 1. Click on Tools. Go down to Message Rules. Another menu pops out and select Mail. 2. A new page comes up called Message Rules. 3. At the right, click on New and you get another page. 4. Put a check mark in the "Where the Subject line contains specific words". 5. In the next block down, put a check mark in Move it To the Specified Folder. 6. In block 3 you see underlined "contains specific words. Click on it. 7. In the block at the top (Type specific words etc) put in narimasu-hs then click on Add then OK. 8. Again in block 3 click on "specified" 9. Again type in narimasu-hs click Add and OK. 10. Click ok on the New Mail Rule window. 11. You are now back to the Message Rules window. Now repeat numbers 3 thru 11, only this time in 7 and 9 use nhs-chat (instead of narimasu-hs). When you get back to 11, then close the Message Rule window by clicking OK. You are done. Now all messages from narimasu-hs will go in that Folder, those for nhs-chat will go into its folder. Now your inbox will only have your private email or whatever else you may receive. You can make as many folders as you like. Be careful and select a unique Key word in the Subject so it won't mis direct other mail. I have a bunch of them for various newsletters, narimasu notifications of who joins/unsubscribes, and several for different REACT functions. It sure makes things easier once you get it set up. One example is if you want to find a specific message, it's easier to go into, for example, narimasu-hs and search for it rather than search thru the whole Inbox. If you have any problems setting this up, let me know and I'll try to help. Walt wyoung@narimasu.net
